About Erica Sigurdson

Since entering the stand-up scene in the summer of 2000, Erica Sigurdson has been unstoppable. Her charm, wit and hilarious stand-up comedy have won her fans across North America as well as the respect of her peers and interest from industry.

In the past year and a half, Erica has performed at The Montreal Just for Laughs Festival, written for a Comedy Network pilot, taped her own Comedy Now special, written and performed numerous times for CBC Radio and XFM radio and most notably was one of two writer’s for the 21st Annual Gemini Awards, aired on Global Television, for which she won a Leo Award for Best Screenwriting in a Comedy. In 2007 and 2008, Erica was nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for Best Female Stand-up in Canada

In December of 2006, Erica was one of five Canadian comics selected to entertain the troops in Afghanistan for a CBC Television which aired in the spring of 2007. As of 2009 Erica is the co-host of ‘The CityNews List’ on CityTV in Vancouver, along with the talented Graham Clark, Paul Bae and Charlie Demers
