HOJA delivers the best aspects of the most popular forms of hired entertainment. There is the engagement of hypnotists, the laughter of comedians, the energetic music of great bands... and the fun of all of these.
Great harmonies, energetic choreography, comedic delivery, and a diverse selection of repertoire are presented in HOJA’s uniquely entertaining, interactive, and engaging modern acappella style. All of the sounds in their live show and on their recordings are created using only their voices. Each of the members sings a variety of different voice parts, including bass lines, lead vocals, tenor and baritone parts, vocal percussion, instrument sounds such as guitars and trumpets, and assorted sound effects. Their songs span every style of music, from doo-wop to rock, country to disco.
HOJA captivates audiences of all ages with their sound and energy within seconds of hitting the stage and keeps the audience engaged with their brilliant humor, choreography and audience participation. By the end of a HOJA show everyone’s cheeks are aching from an hour spent smiling and laughing.
Since 1998, HOJA has recorded four full-length professional CD's and has performed for more than 2500 audiences from British Columbia to Ontario.
